Faculty profile – Kate Boyd

Kate Boyd (PhD) has been awarded a fellowship with the UW’s Center for an Informed Public, to participate in their educator workshops over the course of 9 months. This fellowship is sponsored by the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public and made possible with support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.

Tao Gelernter Large (’10) earned a Ph.D. in physical inorganic chemistry at Stanford University in August, 2025. His post-doctoral plans include developing structural methods to map genetics and their energetics to static physical structures.
