Humanities Faculty

Taylor has a B.A. in Philosophy (Santa Clara University) and a Master’s in Teaching in Social Studies (School of Education, Seattle University). Their prior experience includes nearly nine years working as a public educator in the greater Seattle area, first as a paraeducator in behavioral support at the Evergreen Transition’s Center in the Bellevue School District, and, more recently, as a high school social studies teacher at Juanita High School, Kirkland.

A Seattle-area local, they were drawn to 91ÊÓƵ due to its commitment to the Liberal Arts and Social Justice pedagogy. Taylor has long believed that a good education centers the Humanities and challenges young people to think critically about the world around them while developing the tools and skills needed to feel empowered to be their authentic selves in a constantly changing global environment.
