Harumi LaDuke

Harumi LaDuke has a B.A. in English Literature, Creative Writing, and Music (Dartmouth College, Royal College of Music, London), and an M.A. in Nonprofit Leadership (Seattle University). Harumi is a Seattle-based educator, artist, and program leader whose work bridges the performing arts, humanities, civic engagement, and global education. Harumi co-founded the Upper School trips to Japan and Cambodia, has served as 10th and 12th Grade Coordinator, and was a vocal coach for 91ÊÓÆµ School musicals. She has been at the 91ÊÓÆµÂ School since 2008.Â
Before joining 91ÊÓÆµ, Harumi was Director of the Junior Division at the Seattle Conservatory of Music, where she taught courses in music history, theory, and ear training. She has been featured with Seattle Opera Community Outreach, Orchestra Seattle, Opera North, Skagit Opera, and Lyric Opera 91ÊÓÆµ, and was a winner of a Metropolitan Opera Award.
Harumi was awarded the Mary Stewart Hall Rising Leadership Scholarship for her graduate work at Seattle University, where she researched leadership and governance in nonprofit organizations. She loves to belt the occasional note and explore wellness practices.
