Elizabeth Mader
Science Faculty
Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Elizabeth majored in chemistry and graduated with her Bachelor of Science (University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada), followed by a Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry (University of Washington), where her research focused on understanding how protons and electrons control the chemical reactions of the metals in the world around us.
Her previous experience includes teaching science at Eastside Catholic High School, working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, and a staff scientist at both the Argonne National Laboratory (Illinois) and Yale University.
She believes that science is an action word, and enjoys challenging students to make sense of data and revise their own mental models.
